  1. Possible "Hook" to get the reader interested? :  Stop! Before you pick up that chicken from the grocery. Is this chicken healthy for you to eat does it contain any antibiotics or hormones?
  2. Definition of Issue or Problem: why organic foods are better not fed pesticides grown the healthy way.
  3. Claim or Call to Action: Organic foods are a better option to eat.

  1. Main Point, Idea, or Issue: history of organic farming
  2. Supporting Information: Organic farming as founded during WWII
  3. Supporting Details or Data: used as a method to prevent food shortages around the world, farmers used this as a way to save their farms.

4.            Main Point, Idea, or Issue: how much land is needed to farm organic foods how crops are grown.
5.            Supporting Information: size of the farms and how is the land taken care of.
6.            Supporting Details or Data: no limit on acres, farmers use healthy fertilizers to grow their crops.

8.            Supporting Information: what is needed to maintain an organic farm.
9.            Supporting Details or Data: anyone who sells organic has to be certified, cannot use synthetic fertilizers as well as pesticides. For the animals they cannot have growth hormones and have to be able to be outdoors.

11.          Supporting Information:  how are organic farms taking care of animals.
12.          Supporting Details or Data: fed organic feed, environment of natural behavior of animals, balanced dieting, sanitary housing and stress reduction.

  3. Supporting Details or Data: growth hormone make the animals grow faster. Antibiotics are given to them so they can live longer.

  2. Supporting Information: where sells organic foods and what to look for.
  3. Supporting Details or Data: Wal-Mart, whole foods, private farms. Look for organic label, read nutrients label as well.

  2. Supporting Information: if you only eat organic foods you will notice a difference.
  3. Supporting Details or Data: not feeling bloated or tired. Prevent from being overweight. Prevent mental health problems.
